Going out to watch a movie, watching sports games, or attending a concert is a fun way to have a good time, but it can be very expensive. But you don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a good time! There are many fun challenges to do at home to beat boredom. Read for some great ideas!

It's a fun challenge to do it at home

Did you know that American families spend around $3,458 each year on entertainment? Instead of spending your hard-earned cash on entertainment, gather friends and family and try these challenges at home!

32 Fun challenges at home

Whether you like speed challenges or fitness challenges, we only have a list of home assignments for you! These tasks can be done with yourself, with friends and family. Use it as a family night idea!

That being said, here are 32 fun challenges you can do at home, which are interesting and budget-friendly!

1. Accent and impression challenges

Accent and impression assignments require at least 2 people, 20 sheets of paper, paper/pen, and a timer.

First, write an accent (i.e., an accent from America, UK, or Scottish) on each slip, then place a piece of paper in the pile. If you have more than two players, you can split the participants into two teams.

After that, two players (from the same team) need to stand on opposite sides of each other. Have one player get an accent card and raise it over his head.

Finally, other players should speak with the accents shown on the cards. If participants with accent cards can guess what accents are being spoken, the team will earn points. Each team is given one minute to score the most points. Check out YouTube to get accent help and make sure your accent is accurate!

Alternatively, you can pretend to be a celebrity and guess who the person is.

2. The challenge of a psychiatrist

Home Challenge requires at least two players and no materials needed. One player is assigned the role of “psychiatrist” and the remaining players become patients.

The player must then form a circle with the psychiatrist in the middle. The purpose of a psychiatrist is to understand shared patterns among other players.

For example, let’s say you agree to use numbers every time a player (patient) speaks. A psychiatrist will be allowed to have a maximum of 20 questions to determine this pattern.

example:

Psychiatrist: Patient 1, who are you?

Player 1: No one (1)

Psychiatrist: Patient 2, who are you?

Player 2: Me too (2), I’m no one (1).

If the player (patient) does not follow the rules, the other patients should shout “Psychiatrist!” It usually gives psychiatrists a hint as to what the pattern is.

3. Please know the challenge of that lyrics

Are you a song lover? You will certainly love this fun challenge you can do at home! The “Lyrics” challenge requires at least two players, 20-30 sheets of paper, and a pen/pencil. You can also use a bowl to put your papers in it.

First, write the lyrics on each slip on the paper. Next, underline half of the lyrics for each slip on paper. For example, let’s take a look at the lyrics to this song.

Start by singing the first part. Other players will then need to jump and guess the second part (underlined section). If players guess the lyrics, they will receive points. The player with the most points wins.

Try writing different song topics for the best results and try different genres. For example, I write songs from categories like country music, but I also write songs from Broadway shows and pop music.

I personally love games like this and think it’s great to play on a family game night!

4. The challenge of blindfold transformation

Makeup Challenge requires at least two players, blindfold and choice of makeup. One player must apply makeup to other participants while they are blindfolded.

Take photos after the challenge and share them with friends. You might be surprised at how well you did! Maybe you’ll be inspired to try our custom “glow-up” challenge!

5. Prison drawing challenge

A blindfolded challenge for drawing requires at least two players, a pen or pencil, two sheets of paper, and a blindfold. Players should blindfold and draw the same picture from memory.

When finished, remove the blindfold and compare the drawings. Next, decide who painted a better picture and give the person a point.

6. Baby Food Challenge

Ready to test your senses? This is a fun challenge you can do at home. The Baby Food Challenge requires at least two or more players, six baby foods, and two spoons.

Each one needs to eat a spoonful of baby food without vomiting. If players keep food in their mouths they will earn points. Players earn another point to identify the type of baby food they eat.

After passing through all six containers, aggregate the scores. The player with the most points wins!

7. Tin can be challenged

The Tin Can Challenge requires at least two players, 8-10 tin cans, a spoon and a can opener. First, choose different types of canned foods that will find gloss, strange or smell. Next, choose a few canned foods you think are tasty. Beans, tomatoes, etc. may be used.

Next, remove the label for each can and place the number on each corresponding can. Write down the number and place it in a container (or hat).

Next, draw a number from the container on each player and open the can with the matching number. Finally, the player must eat a spoonful of mystical substance without spitting it out.

Each person who guesses correctly will earn points, and the person with the most points will win the game! Requiring a strong stomach is one of the fun tasks you can do at home.

8. Eat it or wear it

Don’t you care about confusion? This is another fun challenge you can do at home that you can definitely enjoy!

You need at least two players to eat it or wear it. You will also need 15-20 brown bags, spoons, cups and random foods (mayonnaise, tuna, soda, fries, juice, donuts) that may be available at home.

Let each player pass the bag and delete any items inside and start the game. Players can choose to eat it or throw it over their heads. If the player chooses to eat it, they can throw away the rest to the player they choose.

The game can be really messy (and smells!) so you might want to play this in your backyard on Home Challenge.

9. The challenge of whispering

The Whisper Challenge requires at least two players, headphones, and a device to play music. Choose one player to wear headphones, and the other one will turn up the music so that the other participants won’t hear them.

Players without headphones must say the phrase, but players with headphones will read the lips of others and guess the phrase. If players guess the phrase correctly, they earn points. The player with the most points wins.

This is one of the best challenges to play. Even Keanu Reeves and Jimmy Fallon exploded with this challenge!

10. Cookie Challenge

The Cookie Challenge requires at least 2 players and 1 cookie. If you enjoy cooking or baking, you can make your own cookies! First, each player must place a cookie in the center of their forehead.

Next, you need to use the facial muscles to put cookies in your mouth. The first player who does so wins! The Cookie Challenge is my personal favorite of all the fun challenges I do at home.

11. Chubby Bunny Challenge

A chubby bunny challenge requires at least one player and a bag of marshmallows. Stick as many marshmallows into your mouth as possible until you can’t call them “chubby bunny.”

If you are playing with multiple participants, turn to put marshmallows in your mouth and say “a chubby bunny.” While the “chubby bunny” can win, the person who can most match the marshmallows to the mouth wins! If you love sweets, this is one of the most delicious and fun challenges at home.

12. I’ll take the challenge

The Bake Off Challenge requires at least two people and random ingredients that can be found in the pantry. First, give each player 30 minutes to make something out of those ingredients. After 30 minutes, you’ll have someone taste the piece and decide who did it best.

I love baking so this is one of the best challenges with friends. My favorite part is that you can eat the rest of the baking pieces!

Alternatively, you can try to bake off with other players by looking at who can make the best meals from the same recipe. Think of these delicious, simple meals and try to level up the game.

13. The challenge of dropping eggs

To drop eggs, you will need one person, raw eggs, and ingredients for the container.

The goal is to build an “egg” armor that can withstand the effects of drops. Drop the eggs from a high height and test the design. If your eggs don’t break, congratulations, your device will work!

14. Yoga challenge

All Yogis will love this fun challenge you can do at home! The yoga challenge requires at least two players and no documentation is required. Start by having the first player perform their own yoga pose.

They can start with simple poses or jump to something more advanced. Other players should mimic the pose and hold it for at least 10 seconds.

Each player who can imitate and hold a pose for 10 seconds will earn points. The person who earns the most points wins!

15. Dance off challenge

Get ready to use this in the Home Challenge and make your move! Dance Off Challenge requires at least two players and no material is required.

First, the first player must perform a short dance move. Next, the next player must mimic the dance moves and add new players.

Each player performs the previous moves in turn, adding their own moves. In the end, there is a long sequence of dance movements, so those who break the sequence lose! It could also be another great night idea.

16. Relay race

Holding a relay race between friends can be a fun summer challenge you can do while you’re at home! A relay race requires at least two players, and the materials vary based on the type of relay race.

There are fun indoor games like messy outdoor water activities such as painted outdoor water competition and bobbing for coins, as well as necking oranges and passing balloons. The types of relay races are endless and very easy to set up!

For relay races, make sure to include at least two or three challenges each person must complete before the next person on the team begins. The first team that finishes everything wins!

17. 30 Days of Skipping Rope Challenge

Jump ropes are a great way to move your body and pump your heart, especially if you don’t have time! The Jump Rope Fitness Challenge is great if you want to squeeze a little exercise in a day. A 30-day jump rope challenge requires at least one person and a jump rope.

Start with as many skips as you feel comfortable, and increase the skips at intervals of 25-50 times each day. By the end of the 30-day challenge, you may be able to earn up to 1500 steps or more!

Of course, don’t forget to take breaks if necessary. After all, this should be a fun challenge!

18. Rif Off Challenge

Do you like singing? Then, this is one of the most enjoyable tasks to do at home with your friends. Riff-Off Challenge was born from the film Pitch Perfect and has been a popular game ever since. This riff-off challenge requires at least two players and no material is required.

One player starts the game by singing the lyrics to the song and stops with the selected words. Other players must then sing a new song that starts with that particular word.

For example, if the lyrics of a song are:

“There’s no way it’s going to fall. love-“

Other participants can jump in as follows:

“-love You can’t feel this much better. ”

The game ends when the player cannot think of a song that starts with that particular word.

19. Alphabet Game

There are at least two people in the alphabet game and no documentation is required. This is one of the easiest tasks with friends.

Each player takes turns playing random scenes (such as a party friend or a student from a class). The first person must start the sentence with letter A, and the next player must start the sentence with letter B.

Each player must deliver a line that begins with the following alphabetical letters: The goal of the game is to pass through the entire alphabet without stopping. Give each player about 5 seconds between each turn.

If players are unable to think of the following statement before time has passed, they are eliminated. The last player wins!

If you can think quickly on your feet, I think this is a very fun thing to do with your home challenge.

20. Ice Bucket Challenge

You’ve heard about the challenges of ice buckets and the role it played in promoting awareness and donation in the ALS organization. You can use Ice Bucket Challenge to support these organizations!

The idea is simple. Fill the bucket with ice water and are happy to select participants. Next, throw the bucket of water into your head. The idea is to increase contributions to research and increase treatments for ALS.

Involve your friends and family, challenge each other, and donate.

twenty one. I don’t understand issues

One person’s challenge can be played on one person, or on a team or on a team. The material will vary depending on the game you choose.

If you’re playing with multiple people, create a scoreboard if you want to track who is who and which teams win. The list of fine tasks is endless!

Ignore gravity and keep the three balloons up for a minute or see if you can fully wrap your friends in the streamer without exceeding the time. Isn’t it fun? This is a little bit to win a fun challenge to do at home!

twenty two. WordRecall Challenge

The term Recall Challenge requires at least two people, at least four sheets of paper and a pen/pencil. Start by writing a list of 25 words (preferably four letter words) on paper for one player.

Next, study the entire list for the other players in two minutes. After two minutes, take out the list and have the player write down all the words they remember.

Finally, the player switches roles and repeats the process. Those who can remember most words win!

23. Don’t try

This assignment requires at least two players and editing your favorite videos. You can also try to make people laugh at jokes and stories. Players must sit through this without laughing.

The player who has the longest without laughing wins. This will brighten up whose day with your home challenge!

twenty four. Photography challenge

Photography assignments require at least one person and a camera (it will be a mobile phone). Take photos inside and around your home. Use your imagination to create backgrounds and props from items lying around.

Next, share your stupid photos on your friends, family, or Instagram! Who knows, maybe you love them so much.

25. 100 Layer Challenge

A 100-layer challenge requires at least one person and 100 articles to have the same type of clothing or makeup you choose. If the clothes you choose are shirts, layer them over 100 shirts.

If the makeup you choose is lipstick, apply 100 layers of that lipstick. To play this game with a group of friends, see who can wear 100 layers without quitting and who can do it the fastest!

26. Pillow Challenge

The pillow challenge involves taking a common home decoration (like a pillow) and turning it into a wearable part.

You will need at least one person, a pillow and an accessory of your choice. Turn your pillow into a dress or skirt and decorate your clothes with accessories! Next, take a photo around your home and share your photos with friends and family!

27. Cleaning Challenge

You need to clean it, but are you not motivated? Organizing your life can bring many benefits, including reducing stress and increasing focus. And keeping things organized doesn’t have to be boring too!

It can be one of the most enjoyable challenges to do at home. Just spice your cleaning routine by turning it into a game. Make sure you can organize your room quickly and try to beat that number every time you clean it.

Do you want your family to enjoy tidying up? Compete and see who can clean your room the fastest. Then reward the winner with a prize!

28. Know that you’re going to challenge

Getting to know you is one of the best challenges at home for your new best friend or long-time partner. Good communication can build strong relationships and improve all aspects of your shared life. There’s no need to be daunted!

Knowing that you are challenged will encourage conversations through the exchange of face-level and personal questions. Learn more about someone and let them learn more about you, and deepen your relationship!

You can try this by asking each individual a question and then giving the next person a certain amount of time. Or you can have each person ask a few questions and see who runs out of questions first!

29. Escape Room Challenge

The Escape Room Challenge takes time to prepare, but it’s definitely worth it and is a memorable way to spend the afternoon.

First, find a place to create an escape room that could be an empty room or space in your home. Next, create clues and puzzles that need to be solved. Each clue leads to the next clue, like a scavenger hunt. The final clue is to solve the puzzle or open the door to the room.

It’s also fun to have a time limit so that there’s a sense of urgency during the game. See who can get away from the room first and what the puzzle can be solved!

30. Mannequin Challenge

The Mannequin Challenge will guide your skills to the test! Each participant must remain completely immobile, like a mannequin, at the start of the challenge. You can then see who can stay for the longest stay or turn off the music and play music when using the points system to freeze.

Get creative with this game and try out different versions!

31. Cooking Challenge

This game requires a fair judge and at least two participants. Each person is given a time limit (usually 1-3 hours) and must create a delicious meal. Everyone can use the same ingredients or be given time to shop for themselves.

If everyone uses the same ingredients, try to include unique flavors that present a challenge, such as watermelon or hot sauce. Or add a unique twist, such as chopsticks must be included in your meal.

At the end of the time limit, they will serve the meal to the judge and be rated for originality, flavor, food presentations, and more.

You can do multiple courses if you want, but the best part is that everyone can eat food at the end!

32. Save money challenges

Such money saving challenges are ideal if you have a little time and want to improve your savings game! This assignment requires at least two people, but you can include as many people as you like.

To play, you agree to a week or month. Next, look at how much money you can save in the meantime.

For example, you might see how much you can save in 10 days. However, start from scratch and don’t include your previous savings.

A faster version is to see how much cash you can find and save in one afternoon. You might check out the jar of variations, under the sofa, or in your car. Finally, see who found the most change.

Treat yourself with something fun like ice cream if necessary.
