As far as I can remember, I was a decent freak. My closet, bedroom, desk and dresser drawers were always tidy and meticulously organized.
This trait continued on to me wherever I went.
One day, when I was 9 or 10, I saw a target sticker and they all broke down. I couldn’t stand the confusion so I straightened the display rack where each sticker pack was placed in its place. Interestingly, this was not a one-off.
When the struggle begins
But I have always been a very organized individual, but it is on time (read 10-20 minutes early), and when my daughter was there, I had a hard time managing everything on my plate. For the first few years I was totally confused. I was always flying by my pants seat, crazy and overwhelmed.
It all finally came to my mind when my daughter took my credit card out of my wallet. I was leaving for a friend’s bachelor party when I went to buy some coffee and breakfast tacos, but my credit card wasn’t there. Panic, I called my husband to see if it was anywhere around the house.
Long story short, my daughter had removed it from my wallet while squeezing work and trying to entertain her at the same time. I felt it was terrible. If I had missed this, what else was I missing? The reason I decided to work from home in the first place was to ensure that I didn’t miss out on any special moments with her.
