Want to learn how to bring your life together? You never felt like you were just going to catch up, but does everything still feel like a mess? I was there too. There have been times when I was overwhelmed (and that’s normal!) – my finances were disrupted, my schedule is over…

You never felt like you were just going to catch up, but does everything still feel like a mess? I was there too. There have been periods of overwhelming my life (and that’s normal!) – my finances were confused, my schedule was everywhere, and there were no clear goals. I knew I needed to make a change, but I didn’t know where to start.

Over the years I have learned that putting your life together isn’t perfect. And the best part? You don’t have to do everything at once.

If you feel stuck, don’t worry. I have put together a list of simple and practical steps to help you control your life and create a future you are excited about.

Everyone’s journeys are different, so focus on what’s best for you.

The best way to bring your life together

Here is my checklist of creatures like how to.

1. Set clear goals

Putting your life together starts with setting clear goals, both short-term and long-term goals.

Think about what you really want. What does success look like to you? Please write it down.

Big dreams can be scary. It is recommended to split it into small steps that can be made daily, weekly or month. This makes it less scary and more viable. For example, instead of saying you want to save $10,000 this year, you could say, “My goal is to save $834 per month.”

And maintain your goals where you can see them. I’ll post it in my fridge or in my diary. This helps you stay focused and motivated. For example, you can create a vision board that cuts out a photo that shows the target and pastes it onto the board. Next, place this in the fridge or in the hallway mirror (or where you often see it). You can find Vision Board Supplies on Amazon.

2. Organize your living space

Look around your home. Is it troublesome? A decent space helps you feel more in control of your life.

Here are some tips to get started:

  • Clean and organize your bedroom. I put my clothes away, throw away anything I don’t need, I make a bed each morning, and start the day right.
  • Working on the work area. Clean up your desk, store only frequently used items, and place pens, paper and other supplies in the container.
  • Organize common areas such as living rooms and kitchens. Find everything and put things back when they’re done using.
  • Try making some things digital. Scan and save important papers to your computer. This can free up a lot of space.
  • Use labels to mark where things go. This will help you clean up the items and find them later. You can use label makers, write on tape, or buy pre-labels on Amazon.

Get into the habit of cleaning up for a few minutes every day. This prevents confusion from piling up. It makes me feel better when I go home to a clean space.

3. Create a daily routine

Creating a daily routine will help you organize your life.

Here are some tips to help you create a good everyday life:

  • I wake up at the same time every day
  • Limit the screen time in the morning
  • Create a meal plan for this week
  • Have a to-do list
  • Set a specific time to check email

Start small with your routine. Choose one or two things every day. Once you get used to it, you can add more. Remember that your routine should work for you. Therefore, there is no daily checklist that will be useful for everyone.

4. Make a budget plan

If you want to learn how to put your life together financially, I highly recommend creating a budget.

Building a budget is an important step to organizing your life. This helps you stop spending, understand where you need to cut, and learn how to manage your money better.

You can start by listing your monthly income and expenses (you can grab a piece of paper or do this on a computer. It doesn’t have to be difficult!). This will give you a clear picture of where your money is going.

We recommend tracking your spending for a month with every purchase, large or small. You will be surprised at what you find and how much you will use.

5. Prioritize self-care and your health

Taking care of yourself is important to keep your life on track. You need to focus on both your body and mind.

There are a few things I would like to try.

  • Eat energy-giving foods like fruits and vegetables and balanced diets.
  • Even if it’s just a short walk, it moves every day.
  • Get 7-9 hours of sleep each night (set your bedtime and stick to it).
  • I’ll go to a doctor’s visit. Go for a medical checkup and take care of any health issues immediately.
  • Find ways to relax and reduce stress, such as deep breathing, yoga, or taking quiet time for yourself.
  • Try out the hobbies you enjoy, such as watercolor painting and hiking.
  • Think more positive and try to remove negative thoughts.
  • And if you need to talk to someone, don’t be afraid to find a therapist or get the help of other professionals.

6. Start a daily journal

Writing in a journal every day will help you connect your life, and it is an easy way to track your thoughts and feelings.

You can start by getting a notebook or using the app on your phone (though I think it’s probably better to get a physical book so you can reduce your time on your phone).

After that, choose a time to write every day, just like you would when you wake up or before going to bed.

You can write about what happened during your day, your goals and dreams, what has recently given you a sense of fulfillment, what you are grateful for (you can even start a magazine of gratitude!) and more.

Looking back at the old entries, you can show how much you have grown. When you are working on bringing together your life, it is a great way to see your progress.

7. Manage your time better

For me, one of the things I did was that helped me so much to bring my life together. There are so many small times all day that can really prevent you from achieving your goals!

Putting your life together means making the most of your time. Here are some tips:

  • Start by tracking tasks and appointments using tools like calendars and planners.
  • Try blocking your time that you’ll set aside for a variety of activities. This helps you stay focused and get more accomplished.
  • Don’t do more than one thing at a time. Instead, be completely careful of one task at a time. You will finish faster and do a better job.
  • Set clear limits for your time. Learn to say no to things that aren’t important. This protects your schedule from unnecessary distractions.
  • Create a daily to-do list and stick to it. Place the most important task first. Go beyond things when you finish them – it feels great!
  • Take a short break between tasks to charge. Even for a few minutes, you can stay fresh and productive throughout the day. For me, I really like going for walks after working a few hours. It’s a great way to break up your day and clean your head.
  • Try to wake up a little earlier. This gives you time to hurry up and prepare for the day in the morning.

8. Exercise regularly

Adding regular exercise to your routine can make a huge difference in your life. It’s not just that it looks good. It feels good too!

You don’t have to spend hours at the gym every day. You can take a quick walk around your neighborhood or get smaller in just 15-30 minutes of activity, like a short yoga video at home.

A way to make it fun is to find activities you enjoy. Maybe you like to dance, swim or play sports. When you’re having fun, you’re more likely to keep it up.

One thing I’m trying to do is get at least 10,000 steps every day. We use affordable step trackers, such as one of these. I already didn’t want to be connected to the phone more than I did, so I bought a pedometer.

Reading personal development books will help you connect your life as these books can give you advice and tips on how to improve yourself and improve your mental well-being.

Read one self-help book each month and take notes on the main ideas you have learned. Next, we will put these ideas into practice in our daily lives. You may be surprised at how much you can learn and grow.

10. Limit screen time

Reducing screen time can help you organize your life. Too much time on the phone or computer can help you eat the day.

The average person watches TV for hours or hours each day, scrolls on the phone. This time can be used for spending time with friends and family, going out for walks, cooking delicious meals, increasing your income, learning something new, and everything else.

Here’s how to reduce screen time:

  • When you’re with friends, clean up the phone. This will allow you to enjoy each other’s company more.
  • Going outside is a great way to reduce screen time. Take a walk in the park or ride a bike.
  • Try playing a board game instead of a video game.
  • Cooking is another screenless activity to try. Learn new recipes or tell your child how to simplify something.

Remember, it’s okay if you get bored from time to time. When you are not looking at the screen, your mind can wander and come up with new ideas. This can lead to creativity and problem solving.
